Big Fork River Watershed - WRAPS Report Update

We invite you to comment on the draft Big Fork River Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy (WRAPS) Update Report 2025.

 

The Big Fork River Watershed in Northern Minnesota has four lakes with excess nutrients that were assessed as “impaired” or not meeting water quality standards. In addition, most water resources are already meeting standards and need additional protection.

 

The MPCA prepares reports that help direct future restoration or protection work. A WRAPS report uses existing reports, monitoring results, and other information to develop strategies for restoring polluted waters and protecting healthy ones.
