Dakota Waste Solutions LLC - Solid Waste Permit

We invite you to comment on the draft solid waste permit for Dakota Waste Solutions LLC in Dakota County.


Dakota Waste Solutions LLC has applied for a solid waste facility permit for a proposed facility to be located at 10900 215th St W, Lakeville, MN 55044.


The facility will be designed to compost up to 72,000 tons/yr of source-separated organic material and 13,500 tons/yr of yard waste, as well as store up to 400 cy of recyclable materials and 10,500 cy of clean wood onsite.


All active landfills, transfer stations, composting, and recycling facilities in Minnesota are required to have a solid waste permit. A solid waste permit is issued for a period of ten years. If conditions change and modifications to the permit are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
