acpi Wood Products LLC - Air Permit

We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for acpi Wood Products LLC.


acpi Wood Products LLC in Waconia is a manufacturer of finished kitchen cabinets. The facility’s main processes are cabinet construction and coating. The main pollutants emitted by these operations are volatile organic compounds, hazardous air pollutants, and particulate matter. Particulate matter emissions are controlled by panel filters at the paint booths and by fabric filters for the wood working operations, and volatile organic compounds emissions are limited by reducing usage.


The draft permit revises fabric filter operating conditions based on completed performance testing. 


An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
