McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc - Dodge Center - Air Permit
We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc.
McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc. in Dodge Center manufactures trucks. The facility welds, paints, and installs the truck boxes onto delivered chassis cabs. The facility’s main processes are welding, painting, and paint drying booths.
The draft permit reissues the facility’s air quality permit and authorizes the facility to replace four old production lines with two new production lines. The draft air permit continues to limit emissions from paints and coatings by tracking paint and coating usage daily. Painting is conducted inside of paint booths that are controlled with panel filters.
An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
