Adventure Bound BT LLC - Wastewater Premit
We invite you to comment on the draft wastewater permit for Adventure Bound BT, LLC.
Adventure Bound BT, LLC, in Marshall Township, Mower County, applied for reissuance of its state discharge permit for its wastewater treatment facility. The facility is designed to treat 19,195 gallons per day. The facility consists of five septic treatment systems and two holding tanks, and does not discharge to surface waters.
The draft permit includes a requirement to conduct a groundwater investigation report by three years after permit reissuance. This report will determine whether the facility is meeting the MPCA policy on nitrogen. Based on the results of this report, there are requirements in the permit for the facility if the nitrogen policy is not being met.
Water quality permits - or National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits - establish specific limits and requirements to protect Minnesota's surface and groundwater quality. Permits are regularly reviewed and updated as they expire, allowing the MPCA to incorporate new information about the impacts of pollutants on the environment in future permits. Permits are enforced through a combination of self-reporting and compliance monitoring.
