PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber - Air Permit
We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber LLC in Bemidji.
PotlatchDeltic processes dry dimensional lumber at its facility in Bemidji. The facility operates four lumber kilns, two biomass boilers, and two woodworking operations.
The draft permit reissues the facility’s air quality permit and incorporates the replacement of one fire pump engine and the installation of a new emergency generator. The draft air permit limits particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, and hazardous air pollutant emissions and requires testing, monitoring, and recordkeeping for particulate matter and methanol.
An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
