DeZURIK - Air Permit
We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for DeZURIK in Sartell.
DeZURIK manufactures valves and related products for industrial applications and for municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment systems at its facility in Sartell. The facility’s main operations are machining, rubber production, abrasive blasting, cleaning, painting, and assembly.
The draft permit authorizes installation of a new liquid paint spray booth and associated control equipment. This unit is covered by existing facility-wide emissions limits. The draft air permit reestablishes existing limits for particulate matter and volatile organic compounds emissions and associated monitoring for those pollutants.
An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
