Geotek LLC

We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for Geotek LLC.


Geotek LLC is a manufacturer of fiberglass reinforced products. The facility’s main processes are pultrusion lines, resin and styrene storage tanks, one paint spray booth, two emergency generator, and several cutting, sanding, and drilling operations.


The draft permit is a reissuance of the facility’s air quality permit. The draft air permit authorizes construction of three filament winders, a drilling equipment, and an emergency generator. The draft air permit includes limits, monitoring and recordkeeping for volatiles organic compounds. 


An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
