Clay Demolition Landfill - Solid Waste Permit

We invite you to comment on the draft solid waste permit for Clay Demolition Landfill in Clay County.

Clay Demolition Landfill has applied for a modification to its solid waste facility permit for its facility located in Glyndon.

The draft permit modification authorizes a vertical expansion of the volume for demolition debris disposal up to a maximum height of 1,056 feet. The draft permit modification authorizes a total volume of 682,500 cubic yards.

All active landfills, solid waste, and recycling facilities in Minnesota are required to have a solid waste permit. A solid waste permit is good for 10 years. If conditions change and modifications to the permit are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
