Sunrise Fiberglass of Minnesota - Air Permit

We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for Sunrise Fiberglass of Minnesota.


Sunrise Fiberglass produces fiberglass products in Wyoming, using gelcoat and paint to complete the process.


The draft air permit authorizes installation of two new gelcoat booths and a fiberglass trimming device. The draft permit includes production limits designed to restrict hazardous air pollutant emissions and protect air quality standards. The permit also incorporates requirements and limits based on MPCA-approved dispersion modeling of fine particulate matter.


An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
