Polk County Sanitary Landfill - Solid Waste Permit

We invite you to comment on the draft solid waste permit for <> in <> County.


The Polk County Sanitary Landfill applied to modify their 2017 permit to change their landfill footprint and shape, change operations plans for shredding municipal solid waste, tire shredding, asphalt shingle shredding and storage for beneficial use, and modify source separated organic material composting plans to include new waste types and testing requirements


All active landfills, solid waste, and recycling facilities in Minnesota are required to have a solid waste permit. A solid waste permit is good for 10 years. If conditions change and modifications to the permit are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
