Super Radiator Coils (Chaska) - Air Permit
We invite you to comment on the draft air quality permit for Super Radiator Coils in Chaska.
Super Radiator Coils produces heat exchangers in Chaska. The facility uses two boilers and a solvent degreaser to finish their products.
The draft permit replaces the facility’s Part 70 individual air permit with a state individual air permit following a change in federal policy. The draft permit requires the facility to monitor and operate the degreaser within specific parameters and to operate a carbon adsorption system to control solvent emissions. The permit also establishes limits and recordkeeping to ensure the facility is no longer a major source of hazardous air pollutant emissions.
An air quality operating permit is required for certain existing facilities or the construction of new facilities that have the potential to emit a significant level of any regulated pollutant. The permit includes all requirements for operation and procedures, applicable rules, emission standards, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. If additional conditions change and modifications are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
